Save-A-Lot is an edited-assortment grocery store chain located in the middle of the country and the south. With no frills but clean, well-stocked stores showcasing their own labels, they offer over 40% off of the prices of traditional grocers. In today’s economy, you can see why they are expected to double their 1,200 stores in the next five years.

The Save-A-Lot careers site launched to showcase a commitment to branding their employee communications and recruiting efforts, a campaign called “Leaders Made Daily.”

The site needed to accomplish the following:
· Implement Save-A-Lot’s new employer brand on the careers site, in order to better convey
  the opportunities and experience of working at Save-A-Lot.

· Create content and tools that enable site visitors to determine if they are a fit for
  Save-A-Lot, and how they might fit in within the company.

· Integrate with a new applicant tracking system.
· Convey a “realistic job preview” of what it is like to work at Save-A-Lot at all experience
  levels.

· Raise awareness about the company among the candidate audience, to mitigate the
  problem that Save-A-Lot’s brand is not well known among its target audience.

· Create a targeted area of the site for college students, in support of Save-A-Lot’s growing
  college program.

· Create a user experience that is intuitive, with content that is easy to scan and information
  architecture that is easy to navigate.

· Differentiate Save-A-Lot from other competitors.
· Create interest and excitement about Save-A-Lot.
